The Engineering Division of the Bureau of Street Services provides design, project management and construction management services for bikeway, streetscape, and various street improvement projects constructed by the Bureau of Street Services. Another major responsibility is to secure available Federal and State grant monies that help fund many of these projects through programs such as the MTA Call for Projects and Caltrans' Safe Routes to Schools Program. This Division also manages Street Furniture Program and provides technical services to support improvements and maintenance of the Bureau's asphalt plants and maintenance facilities.
