When requesting service, please be prepared to give the following information:
Your name.
Your business or home phone number with an area code and/or address (in case further information is needed regarding the request).
Location of the problem: The address where the service is needed and any additional information that will assist in locating the problem (Example: intersection of, alley behind, in front of, etc.).
Brief description of the problem. Describe the nature of the problem (Example; pothole, downed tree, etc.).
The Bureau of Street Services receives approximately 100,000 requests for service annually. When a request is received, it is assigned a unique number of which the caller is advised for future use. After the call is received, a copy of the request is forwarded to the appropriate division so that it may be acted on as soon as is possible.
NOTE: The requestor's name, phone number and address is kept confidential.After hours the Bureau accepts emergency request at 3-1-1 or TDD (213) 473-6600.
